Happy Easter!

We celebrated Easter Sunday, singing round the cross. This year decorated in yellow and blue to remember our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.

 

We are currently worshipping "in person" at 10am on Sunday mornings. From Sunday 5th September 2021 we will be meeting in the church building following its refurbishment. We ask that you wear a mask for worship, unless medically exempt, so that we can all keep each other safe.

If you can't join us in person, the service is Livestreamed on our  FACEBOOK PAGE - Methodist Chruches in Widnes: Farnworth . You can watch live at 10am, or catch up later.

Mary Jones Bible - Anniversary Sunday 2018

This year for our Anniversary Sunday the Children, Young People and Choir presented the Roger Jones musical - "Mary Jones Bible"

Sam's Diamonds

Every Year our Church supports one or two charities. This year one of our charities is Sam's Diamonds - which supports local women who have breast cancer. This charity is very close to our hearts as we have had several members undergoing treatment for breast cancer over the last year.

This week Sam - the founder of Sam's Diamonds - came along to our Guild Meeting. This is what she wrote on her Facebook Page

"On Monday night i was invited along to Farnworth Methodist church who have made us one of their charities of the year. I gave a talk about Sam's Diamonds and the signs and symptoms of Breast cancer. The audience were so receptive and welcoming. I provided various info leaflets and a chance to feel some prosthetic boobs to find the lumps or signs of cancer. I loved it!!! Their sewing group surprised me with a hand made Diamond blanket that they had made for us to raise funds with. It is truly beautiful as can be seen in the picture. Thank you for having me. Our second service on Christmas Eve was a Cafe Style Christingle service - 

featuring lots of fun with the Great Christingle Relay Race -

as well as a lovely peaceful moment as we stood together in the candlelight #and sang "Away in a Manger"
