Sam's Diamonds

Every Year our Church supports one or two charities. This year one of our charities is Sam's Diamonds - which supports local women who have breast cancer. This charity is very close to our hearts as we have had several members undergoing treatment for breast cancer over the last year.

This week Sam - the founder of Sam's Diamonds - came along to our Guild Meeting. This is what she wrote on her Facebook Page

"On Monday night i was invited along to Farnworth Methodist church who have made us one of their charities of the year. I gave a talk about Sam's Diamonds and the signs and symptoms of Breast cancer. The audience were so receptive and welcoming. I provided various info leaflets and a chance to feel some prosthetic boobs to find the lumps or signs of cancer. I loved it!!! Their sewing group surprised me with a hand made Diamond blanket that they had made for us to raise funds with. It is truly beautiful as can be seen in the picture. Thank you for having me.
